BWM has introduced a leaning trike concept vehicle at the company’s museum in Munich, the Simple concept.The simple concept is a a three-wheeler that measures just 110 centimeters wide. It weights around 992 pounds, with a drag coefficient of 0.18, and powered by a electric motor. BMW says the simple is capable of hitting 100 km/h in under ten seconds and it tops out at over 200 km/h , yet needs just 2 litres of gas over 100 km. (more…)

BMW Art Cars are something of a notorious, timeless and classic tradition for BMW cars. Ever since 1975 when French racecar driver Herve Poulain requested that his BMW racecar be painted in a unique way by American artist Alexander Calder, BMW cars have become a canvas for great artists such as Frank Stella, Jenny Holzer, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg and, amongst the most famous, Andy Warhol. BMW Art Cars have been exhibited around the world including the Louvre in Paris, the Palazzo Grassi in Venice and the Guggenheim Museums in New York and Bilbao. (more…)

And while the Bavarian automaker offers several sporty models, it lacks what industry insiders refer to as a “halo vehicle”. That is, one model that sums up with the brand stands for.
