For some reason, over the last year, I have ignored the Room 101 brand at my local B&M even though they came highly recommended from the store manager. To me, a cigar blended by Camacho (Eiroa family) didn’t sound appealing since, truthfully, I never really cared much for them. Camacho’s have always been lackluster but very serviceable cigars. Somehow, Matt Booth, the head of Room 101, has teamed with the Eiroas and squeezed what seems to be the best thing I have smoked out of that factory…

Camacho is known for making strong Honduran cigars and Matt Booth is known for creating unique silver jewelry for Hollywood’s elite. When the two got together a few years ago, the Room 101 limited-edition cigar was born; this is their second offering. Dubbed Room 101 LTD Conjura ($6.95–$9.95), it lives up to its name, as conjura means “conspire” in Spanish, and the Sumatra Rosado wrapper has indeed conspired with the Honduran binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler to produce a muscular smoke full of coffee, cedar, curry, and allspice.

Last year, Camacho introduced the cigar world to Matt Booth and his edgy, fantastic style with Room 101. Famous already for his clothing, jewelry, and accessories, Matt definitely brought a much needed point of view to the industry. For those of us who already see cigars as a kind of art form, Matt Booth fit riiiiight in. This creatively executed concept coupled with a darn right tasty cigar ignited something new in the cigar world which made Room 101 a favorite at my local tobacco hangout, Emerson’s Cigars. So imagine the excitement over Room 101 LTD Conjura Edition!
